A half-day training course to learn the basics of avalanche victim search.
For you and your friends with whom you go to the mountains, learn how to react in the event of an avalanche.

€240 for up to 2 people. €20/person for more.
Hours and location: Flexible. Recommended at 9.00 am at La Flégère ski resort.
PROGRAM
A half-day training course to learn the basics of avalanche victim search.
You will depart with your instructor to reach the top of the Index chairlift at La Flégère. (Skis are not required, but you can bring them if you plan to ski at La Flégère after the training).
From there you will learn to be able to manage alone a situation of searching and freeing an avalanche victim.
After the training, you will have acquired knowledge and know-how to:

carry and assemble your equipment efficiently

participate in the Group Show/Search test

use the basic functions of your DVA

implement basic actions in the event of an avalanche accident (action to be taken)

alert emergency professionals
-
efficiently search and locate a buried victim in a simple scenario

extricate a buried victim using a specific technique.

What to bring?

DVA (with batteries), shovel, probe

Warm clothing (gloves, hat, down jacket, fleece, windbreaker, pants, warm socks)

Accessible to all, skiers and non-skiers. From 12 years old.
What the price includes

Training carried out by a professional approved by ANENA.
What the price does not include

Transport from Chamonix to the Flégère car park (carpooling possible and free, up to 4 people)

DVA equipment - shovel and probe (rental possible)
